Who I Am
I like to think of myself as a dedicated landscape professional with a passion for creative and environmentally sensitive design. In 1999 I graduated from the U.C. Berkeley Landscape Architectural program and began my professional landscape architectural career in the San Francisco Bay Area: first with Environmental Edges, a landscape architectural firm that specialized in public and recreational-type projects (trails, parks, schools). I was involved in an array of projects with the cities of San Jose and Sunnyvale, the county of Santa Clara, and Santa Clara University.

Later I worked with Callander Associates, another well-established firm in San Mateo that focused on similar type projects. Prior to relocating to Taos, I was an Associate and Project Manager at Kikuchi & Associates in Half Moon Bay. During my three year tenure at K&A I had the added pleasure of designing residential projects, along with working on a wide variety of non-residential projects – such as a recycling center, senior citizens campus, and public library.

I also have a business background including a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University which I believe has proven useful in many aspects of managing projects and budgets. Continuing education has always been important to me. To this end I have completed courses at UNM and New Mexico State Extension in local construction and horticulture.

I am a member of ASLA, the Association of Landscape Architects and am currently in the process of obtaining my New Mexico Landscape Architect license. Other professional associations and memberships that I have include the New Mexico Native Plant Society and the Santa Fe Master Gardeners Association.
